OUTAGE.GR

Crowdsourced Utility Tracker

What is Outage.gr?

Outage.gr is Greece's free, anonymous utility outage tracker — built to answer the question every resident asks the moment the lights go out: "Is this just my building, or the whole neighbourhood?" When power, water, or internet fails, residents submit a report in seconds without creating an account. Every report is timestamped, pinned to a precise location, and immediately visible on the live map. Neighbours tap "Me Too" to confirm, and the verification score rises — transforming a single anonymous report into community-verified evidence of a real, widespread outage.

Beyond crowdsourced reports, we integrate official scheduled maintenance data from DEDDIE, Greece's electricity distribution operator. Our automated pipeline runs daily, harvesting upcoming planned outages from DEDDIE's own systems, geocoding them, and surfacing them in the My Area section and on each city's dedicated page. This means residents see both what is happening right now and what is scheduled to happen — before the lights go out.

Since launching in early 2026, our community has submitted more than 1,500 verified outage reports across Greece. We publish honest analysis of that data — how reports break down by utility, which areas report most often, and what the numbers can and cannot yet tell us — as original research grounded in real submissions. Browse our analysis guides or explore your city's outage history to understand the utility reliability picture where you live.
